I'm probably going crazy.... When I talk to a friend, I start asking myself the question - maybe everything really is as she says. And this is my distorted picture of the world, I see everything not as it really is.... Half an hour passes, I understand - this is nonsense. But it is so structural and clear that you begin to believe in it. It’s as if you fall into hypnosis during a conversation, and only come to your senses when the conversation ends. Like Alice from a fairy tale, I fall down the rabbit hole and fly into the world of the absurd. And while I am there, I begin to believe that this world is reality. Here is an example of such a conversation, after which I came to my senses on the way home. A friend - in detail, with colors and emotions - told me exactly how her boss does everything to “harass” her . I know her manager, and what my friend says doesn’t fit with what I myself have seen and know. I’m trying to say a word to her, to look at the situation from the other side. Ask, maybe she just misunderstood the boss... If the boss offered you coffee, maybe that doesn’t mean that she did it on purpose to make your blood pressure rise? If you were allowed to work remotely for one day, maybe that doesn’t mean that Do they want to exclude you completely from the life of the team and make sure that you are not needed? For every such question there is an answer - a clear, clear one. And there are facts. Only the conclusions from the facts seem logical only while you are in this conversation. And then you realize that this is far-fetched... About coffee - she’s definitely “harassing” on purpose, because she’s married to a doctor, she knows how coffee affects blood pressure. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have offered coffee, but first asked how my health was and if I could have coffee. If I didn’t ask, he knows that it’s impossible, he takes advantage of the position to force me to drink. Remote - definitely to throw me out. He does it cunningly, hiding behind concern for the team so that it goes unnoticed. She even deliberately gave remote access to others in order to hide the intentions of “lime.” The examples of this logic have one thing in common - a clear, at first glance logical structure. Which is impossible to “break through” with arguments. Any argument is simply built into this structure and adjusted to the idea that a person has put into the situation. I am a psychologist, I have limited capabilities. There are things that are beyond my competence and professional rights. In particular, determining a person’s mental status. Including those absent from consultation. This is the job of a psychiatrist if the person himself wants to contact him. However, I have the right to see the behavioral signs of the counterpart in my client’s communication, and to assess the possibility of their influence on the client. And such an influence can be simply unpleasant and even dangerous. A person’s resources are not always enough to resist what looks like systemic nonsense. Systemic (intellectual) nonsense represents “crooked logic.” From the facts, based on a very clear, but erroneous logic, equally clear and erroneous conclusions are drawn. Such a phenomenon is often based on some kind of super idea, under which logic “bends” the facts that come into view. It is impossible to resist this. There will either be aggression or you will plunge into this nonsense yourself. And you risk flying like Alice down the rabbit hole.... And the Hatter with the Dormouse and the Teapot can become part of your reality. And a headache when returning to reality is guaranteed. In such situations, it is recommended to minimize communication with someone who throws you down the Rabbit Hole over and over again. You cannot do anything to a person - help him - against his wishes. Such people extremely rarely go to a psychiatrist - in general, they are fine in their own Rabbit Hole. Avoid other people's Rabbit Holes. Then you won’t have to get the Mad Hatter out of your head Pictures in the article are taken from the World Wide Web I’m glad to see your “Thank you” under the article if it was interesting.
