Spoiler title Expanding spoiler text It is believed that everything else in a person’s life is built on self-esteem, as the foundation. What is included in the concept of self-esteem? What kind of person is this with high and healthy self-esteem? Healthy self-esteem is: 1. There is self-love. No matter how cliché it may sound, check it out - look in the mirror and honestly answer the question “Do you love this person in the mirror?”.2. A person feels his own competence in certain issues and in entire areas of activity. There is confidence that he has sufficient knowledge, abilities and skills as a specialist or as a certain role in the family or society.3. Confidence that a person deserves well-being, happiness, joy, recognition. This is the case when a person has recognized the right to be himself, including being more successful than his environment expects of him.4. A person considers himself full of positive qualities. Yes, perhaps he sees his growth areas, but in general he can say about himself that he is, for example, friendly, purposeful, joyful, active, supportive, merciful, and so on.5. Self-respect is present. Self-respect involves holding all your thoughts, feelings, body sensations, hopes, beliefs, and actions to be very important to you. Just as, for example, people relate to authority figures - everything they say and do is considered important, worthy of being taken into account. So self-respect means that a person begins to take into account himself. There is a way to assess one’s self-esteem through relationships. Noticed that self-esteem manifests itself in relationships with other people. As a rule, people are attracted with the same self-esteem. You can increase your self-esteem by working on all the areas described above. Below is one practice to improve self-esteem: 1. Write down your skills, abilities, qualities in two columns - positive and negative. Then write down all the negative ones based on their usefulness in some situations. At the end of the exercise, evaluate the changes.2. Write down on a piece of paper all the people who treat you well, love you and are happy to see you.3. Write down on a piece of paper everyone you like, with whom it is easy and interesting to communicate.
