We all often talk or think about self-love: we need to love ourselves, take care of ourselves, accept ourselves, take care of ourselves... What do we mean by love and self-care? Often quite standard and well-known things: give yourself more time, take care of yourself, your favorite activities, pamper yourself, etc. Yes, all this is true, all this is correct. But inside there is still a feeling that something is missing, something is wrong, and there is no more self-love. What is missing? There is something we forget about - our body, our organism. More precisely - acceptance of your body, love and gratitude aimed at the body. You can truly love yourself only if you love all (all) of yourself, every cell of yourself! And as usual it happens: oh, I love myself, but there’s something extra here (in the body), I’ll sleep later, my ears are let down - they’re not the right shape, it’s a pity that the money for high-quality cosmetics, clothes, products will be useful for something else, and In general, the body leaves much to be desired, it needs to be changed. Our body, our body is very loyal and obedient to us. Judge for yourself! We often don’t pay attention to our sensations (why, they’ll pass), to the body’s needs (then we’ll eat, we’re too lazy to go to the toilet, I’ll be patient; or such a delicious bun, so what, whatever doesn’t fit, we’ll shove it in). But the body tolerates everything, accepts it and continues to serve. Why focus on base needs? Self-development and spirituality are more important! Yeah, how far will we go in self-development and sublime needs without the body? What is it we can’t walk without? Not just read, see, hear? Only when we have completely pushed ourselves, the body begins to sound the alarm, and we, for example, lie down with a cold. We're lying down. We think. Sometimes we complain about our health or viruses. But often our body takes care not of itself, but of us: you’re tired, you can’t work so much, rest, and I’ll help you with this and make sure you lie down, sleep, and regain your strength. This is precisely the act of care and love, but not our love for ourselves, but the love of our body for us. Maybe we should at least reciprocate? To begin with, be grateful and attentive to the body. Our body is not our enemy, but our helper. Paying attention to the needs of the body and being sensitive to bodily sensations is not difficult and does not require much time and effort. It is important to accept your body as it is and love it. Do you think this is difficult? How to love your body if it is too fat, thin, ugly and generally imperfect? Are you sure that, for example, excess weight is the desire of your body? I’ll disappoint you: no, he’s just not feeling well with being overweight! But he, as I said, is obedient and devoted to us and our paddocks, desires, complexes. Therefore, if you need additional armor to protect yourself from the attacks of others, to respect your boundaries, to give weight to your words (importance to yourself), to avoid the attention of the opposite sex, then your body will help you and fulfill your wishes - not yours, but yours. So why be angry with your body? Because it helps and saves you in the ways that are available to it? Treat your body with gratitude: thank you for doing this for me (I myself am not ready to defend my boundaries or my principles). Listen to your bodily sensations. This is already enough to show a little love and acceptance to yourself. There is no need to immediately try to understand body language; the message “I hear you, I feel you” is enough. You will feel a little magic happen. And such desired self-love will become a little more real. Remember, loving yourself means loving yourself entirely, every cell of yourself..
