Our emotions are part of our nature. They cannot be turned off and never experienced. It is undesirable to suppress, control and mask them. Emotions help a person react to the environment and choose appropriate behavior. Absolutely ALL emotions are normal. You can be angry / cry / laugh loudly / be afraid of something / be jealous / envy. There are 5 main groups of signals to which we react emotionally 👇 1️⃣ Safety signals - a person feels good, comfortable, calm in a certain environment with specific people. We experience calm, a sense of security, love, satisfaction 2️⃣ New signals - launch a process of assessment and learning that corresponds to curiosity, interest 3️⃣ Reinforcing signals are pleasant consequences for us, hugs, delicious food, loved ones. We experience joy, pleasure, love4️⃣ Threatening signals - correspond to an UNSAFE environment, hostile and unpleasant people. We experience fear, anxiety, worry. 5️⃣ Suppressive signals - trigger our “shutdown” system. This is a state in which the body's processes slow down and a person becomes motionless. We fall into a stupor and experience shock. A person constantly experiences some kind of emotion and reacts to appropriate signals from the environment. Sometimes we register several types of signals and then experience complex emotions. For example, when we see a crowd of people on the street - interest, whether this crowd of people is dangerous or safe, anxiety, the desire to avoid a collision with the crowd or, if the crowd is a parade, indifference / joy / desire join. A person may enjoy the parade and want to join it, but at the same time feel guilty if, for example, he is late or his friends do not want to waste time on this entertainment. Try to observe during the day what signals you come across and how you react to them. them, what emotions you experience. I will help you deal with your emotions during a consultation.
