Badminton for psychology. (not for the sake of glamor). I’ve been wanting to write this note for five years now, but every time I’m missing something: time, desire, or inspiration. I started studying psychology and badminton at about the same time, a little over those same five years. But now, after such, I would say, popular expression of love for badminton, the release of a training course with the president in the introduction (so to speak, we will replace kimonos and alpine skis with badminton rackets), the purchase of 10,000 badminton rackets by the Ministry of Defense, I thought for a long time whether there would be This article is too glamorous. But then, I finally decided that regardless of the current status of this game, it gave me a lot of vivid experiences, good athletic shape and understanding of myself in the world and peace in myself. I decided to put pen to paper, or rather the keyboard, and describe the benefits of my favorite game. Badminton is a sport in which players sit on opposite sides of a court divided by a net and throw a shuttlecock over the net with rackets, trying to make it fall onto the opponent's court. Two players or two pairs of players compete. Included in the program of the Summer Olympic Games since 1992. (http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badminton).The nature of the game is in no way reminiscent of badminton on the beach, which is familiar to everyone since childhood, when two people try to keep the shuttlecock in the air for as long as possible. Here the task is just the opposite, to hit the shuttle into the opponent’s court as quickly as possible or force him to knock the shuttle out of the court. The game is very fast and dynamic, it has a record speed of flight of a projectile - a shuttlecock, more than 400 km/h. Badminton is very popular in the world, has the highest television ratings among all sports at the Olympics, however, mainly due to China, Indonesia and other East Asian countries, where it is the No. 1 sport. Badminton is the second most energy-consuming sport after ice hockey, and is included in the training program for Russian and earlier Soviet cosmonauts. From the time of Yuri Gagarin, his racket still hangs in the museum. According to rumors, this is due to the fact that in badminton, with the right approach to the game and a sufficient amount of health and physical strength, the overloads are close to cosmic. However, people of any age can play sports badminton at their level with equal opponents and enjoy it. How is badminton related to psychology? Well, first of all, badminton is practically the only game in volume. Almost all the others (hockey, tennis, football) are plane games, where the projectile moves in a plane (basketball, volleyball have some approximation to three-dimensionality). Accordingly, having the volume of badminton, as well as a small, quickly moving projectile, we get a very good means for the neuropsychological development of spatial thinking, correlating the coordinates of our body with space, the development of physiological and psychological vision. In addition, like any sport, badminton gives a person an activity that is interesting and exciting, a scheme for overcoming oneself, learning to control one’s own body. Solving any psychological problem, among other things, requires solving these problems. Like any sports competition, badminton provides an opportunity to realize one’s aggression (as well as overcome insecurity), relieve stress, etc. Badminton is accessible to professionals and amateurs, as is psychological literature - in a rare sports competition you can enter without knowing anything about this sport, and after the very first lesson you can fight on an equal footing with other beginners and get “drive” from the game. At the same time, badminton equipment is one of the most inexpensive in sports, and the opportunity for self-improvement is limitless. Badminton helps overcome loneliness. This game is played in many places in Moscow and St. Petersburg (http://badminton.ru/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=10&Itemid=30). Communities of people passionate about the game and people are created there!
